10 TIPS FOR FEMALES TO ACHIEVE A BETTER BODY.

1. Favour weight training over cardio.

In order to build a good physique we must focus on building lean muscle tissue. More lean mass means a faster metabolism. Also leans to the “toned” look you all chase.

2. Don’t start low calorie…you can’t!

You leave yourself with nowhere to go. Low calories over long periods will ruin your body shape. This will also quickly lead to a down regulation of your metabolism.

3. The scales isn’t everything.

Weight is relevant but it’s not a key indicator of your body shape. Body fat levels can lower while weight can remain the same.

4. Focus on your health first.

If your sleep is poor, energy is low, stress is high and digestion is poor then you can forget about fat loss. Health must be priority!

5. Favour strongman training or high intensity sprints for Cardio.

Intermittent exercise such as strongman or sprints will have a greater effect for getting lean.

6. Train with more compound lifts.

Exercise like squats, deadlifts, pull-ups etc will have a lot more of a positive effect when it comes to getting lean.

7. Calories matter!

You will only be able to push calories up to a certain level before gaining body fat so make sure to monitor this.

8. Swap out unhealthy carbs for fruit & veg.

People have very carb dominant diets without realising. Cut out them cereals & breads and get in them fruits & veggies.

9. Avoid stress at all costs!

This isn’t just mental stress. Avoid diet stress and make sure you’re recovering from training sessions within a reasonable time frame.

10. Always have a plan when you enter the gym.

Attending a gym doesn’t cut it, it can be a massive waste of time! You must periodise your workouts so that you have continuous results long term. If you’re not capable of this then hire a coach.
